'The Master Cutter' star Dingdong Dantes emphasizes the importance of open communication in marriage and relationships.

Multi-awarded actor and host Dingdong Dantes is happily married to Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera for more than 11 years.

Regarded by many as a showbiz power couple, DongYan held their renewal of vows in December 2024 on their 10th anniversary, which was witnessed by their two kids, Zia and Sixto, at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Cubao.

In a recent media event held by Esquire Philippines, one of the press asked The Master Cutter actor how he and Marian handle conflicts, if any.

“Sa oras, halimbawa, kasi minsan wala ring oras para pag-usapan, like pareho kaming busy,” Dingdong admitted.

But the Kapuso primetime actor said that their trip to Quebec, Canada to shoot their new movie Remember will be an opportunity for the both of them to talk.

According to Dingdong, an 'honest communication' between couples is a good way to iron out things.

“May gagawin kami somewhere, we will be together for quite a long time. So, makakapag-usap kami, 'yun naman talaga 'yung pinakamahalaga, usap talaga.

“Yung totoong usap, 'di ba, hindi 'yung text lang. Kasi, I understand she is also a busy mom, talagang when I'm away, she really takes care of the kids. So, I understand that.”

He added, “Mahalaga talaga na meron kaming oras na para sa amin lang. I guess, we really just have to find that at least once a week or once a month, date o kahit dun lang kami sa labas o saan man. Basta, makapag-usap nang masinsinan.”

Aside from The Master Cutter and Remember, Dingdong is also the host of the high-rating game show Family Feud.
