Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes is paying tribute to his mom, Angeline Gonzalez Dantes, in his latest commercial as the latter officially launches her online food business.

In Instagram, the actor said it was his lifelong dream to star in a commercial with his mother, given that she was the one who accompanied him when he was still starting in show business.

“Growing up, it was my mom who accompanied me in my projects -- from my first exposure to commercials at the age of three to TV and movie shoots,” he candidly wrote.

“And even up to this day, she is one of my biggest supporters and cheerleaders, regardless of how my performances are.

“But it has always been my dream to appear in a TV commercial with her, and I guess I just dont want to sit and wait for that to happen.”

Putting on his director's hat, Dingdong put his dream to fruition as he captured how his mom lovingly prepares their family's signature cheese pimiento that has been passed from generation to generation.

He continued, “Sharing with you snippets of my Mom's magic -- something that has kept me, us -- her family always excited to be on the table to celebrate togetherness with her recipes, despite the circumstances.

“So here, I made her her own commercial. One that speaks truly about heritage, inspiration, and above all, love.”
