Captain Lucas and Doctor Maxine are finally reunited after six years!
The stars of the hit Pinoy-adaptation of the koreanovela series 'Descendants of the Sun (2026),' Dingdong Dantes and Jennylyn Mercado, are back together to create more TV magic in the GMA Prime series 'The Master Cutter.'
Dingdong told 24 Oras that reuniting with Jennylyn after six years is a special one, since they got to reminisce their experience as Lucas and Maxine.
"Magaan lang tapos may konting comedy," the multi-awarded actor shared. "Naalala namin 'yung mga pagkakataon na magkasama kami sa 'Descendants of the Sun,'"
On Jennylyn's big role in 'The Master Cutter,' the Kapuso actor hinted about her connection with one of the pivotal characters in the series.
"Super duper special role. Napakahalaga ng role ni Jennylyn Mercado dito sa 'The Master Cutter,'"
"Clue? Clue na lang may kinalaman siya sa buhay ni Ibyang."

Meanwhile, Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado is ecstatic that she was given this chance to act alongside her former leading man.
Jen said to Chika Minute, "Ang huli namin 'Descendants of the Sun' pa. Sabi ko, kailan ko ulit makakatrabaho si Dong pagkatapos nun 'di ba? Ano ba 'yung chance na puwede ko ulit siya makasama, so ito na 'yun. Kaya masayang-masaya ako na nag-guest ako dito sa 'The Master Cutter.'
"Espesyal siya at napaka importante nung character na 'yun… Abangan nila."
