RUNRIO donated equipment to the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) as part of its commitment to supporting the agency's environmental and disaster preparedness efforts, weeks after the Manila Marathon was held on June 12.

RUNRIO president and CEO Rio Dela Cruz personally turned over the donation to MMDA Chairman Atty. Romando Artes last Monday. The donation included 200 shovels, 400 pairs of rubber boots, 500 pairs of heavy-duty utility gloves, and 120 durable trash bins.

"We are thankful to Chairman Artes and the MMDA as their support has been instrumental in allowing us to safely organize world-class running events, including the Galaxy Manila Marathon on EDSA," said Dela Cruz. "This donation is our own little way of giving back and backing the agency's efforts to keep Metro Manila clean and prepared."

The MMDA has been a key partner of RUNRIO in staging its races, including the Manila Marathon, whose full marathon route traversed EDSA.
