'The Master Cutter' star Dingdong Dantes gave co-star Shuvee Etrata a heartfelt shoutout, praising her authenticity and infectious energy on set.
Multi-awarded actor and host Dingdong Dantes touched the hearts of many viewers of The Master Cutter after sharing behind-the-scenes photos with co-star Shuvee Etrata.
Shuvee plays Tonet, a probinsyana beauty who secretly has a crush on Atoy, portrayed by Dingdong.
With The Master Cutter entering a pivotal point in its story this week, Dingdong expressed his gratitude to Shuvee for being a source of joy during tapings.
"First met @shuveeetrata on Amazing Earth when I interviewed her," Dingdong recalled. "But it was on The Master Cutter where I really got to know her. Kahit sa set, lagi niya kaming binibigyan ng mga Bisaya challenges. 😂 That's just her… always jolly, authentic, and unapologetically herself. Parati pa namimigay ng ice cream!"
Working with Shuvee also gave Dingdong a deeper appreciation for her talent, particularly in the way she brought Tonet to life.
"What makes it even more special is seeing that same authenticity translate into her craft. Seeing what she did with Tonet just proves she's got so much more to offer as an actress.
"Never lose that spark(le), Shuvee. It's your superpower.
"Isang Kapuso. Isang proud Bisaya. And someone we can all look forward to seeing even more of."
The Sparkle actress was visibly emotional after reading Dingdong's heartwarming message and thanked him for being a generous mentor.
Shuvee wrote, "Kagabi pa po ako umiiyak!!! Kuya Dong, thank you po dahil marami po akong natutunan sa inyo. Isa ka sa pinakamagaling na artista at pinakamabait sa lahattt!! Di alam ng lahat na may kulit din ikaw, kahit na ikaw na si 'Mr. Dingdong Dantes'!!!
"Habangbuhay po mananatili sa akin yung mga memories po natin lahat dyan sa set! Thank you dahil tinanggap niyo pagka-Bisaya ko. At higit sa lahat, thank you sa pagmamahal niyong lahat! Dadalhin ko po lahat yun sa puso ko forever!!!"
