Marcos delivers aid to Davao provinces a day after SONA 2026

A day after his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Tuesday visited Davao de Oro to distribute government aid under the "Bawat Bayan Makikinabang" program.

Marcos led the distribution of agricultural machineries and farm inputs from the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) to farmer-beneficiaries as part of the program's launch in Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, and Davao Occidental.

The President also turned over financial assistance under the Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF) to the three provinces, which would benefit presidential scholars and barangays.

In his speech, Marcos underscored the strong coordination between the national government and the local government units to bring swifter and more efficient aid to communities.

Kami'y nakikinig," the President said.

(You know, your government doesn't just order people what to do. We are with you—we are listening.)

(So, if you have any complaints, if you have any concerns, if you have seen anything good that you think should be done, tell us. Tell your local officials. Tell the government agencies—whether national or local.)

Marcos committed that the government would do its best to ensure that most, if not all, the people's needs are met.

(Rest assured that your government is here for you. You have not been forgotten. Even though you are faraway we are here—doing everything we can, thinking things through, and exerting every effort within our capability to help, improve your situation, and bring even a bit of relief to your lives.)
