A local adaptation of the Netflix Korean drama My Name hasn't been announced yet, but Direk Mark Reyes of Voltes V: Legacy already has Kylie Padilla in mind to play the lead role originated by Han So Hee.
In an Instagram post, the director posted a poster of the Netflix show and praised Han So Hee for delivering on the role of “the revenge-driven ingénue turned fighting machine” Ji-woo.
He also shared that he could not help but think of Kylie Padilla as the main character, not just because of her beauty and her acting ability but also because of the martial arts training Kylie has had even as a young child.
In the comments, Kylie was obviously thrilled, commenting “Direk gameeee pinoy remake ”
Comments on the post also echoed their excitement at the possibility of Kylie portraying the lead role in a future Philippine adaptation. One commenter said they always wanted Kylie to play the part, while another said they also thought of the same thing and believed Kylie would “kill” the role as well.
While there is still no news about a possible adaptation or whether Direk Mark Lopez will even direct it, check out the latest on his project, Voltes V: Legacy in the gallery below.
