Drew Arellano has made no secret of his fascination with Mindanao.
The second-largest island in the country is located in the southern part and has history and traditions that are rich, colorful, and, in some ways, notorious.
Years of armed conflict have made some areas off-limits and inaccessible to outsiders and tourists.
This makes it difficult for travel shows to visit far-flung locations across the island including the Sulu Archipelago.

But thanks to modern technology, we are now able to venture into places that we don't get to see much even without the need to be physically there.
So this week, Biyahe ni Drew will visit the majestic province of Lanao del Sur located in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Drew will explore Lanao del Sur's traditions, picturesque landmarks and sceneries, and food - all virtually and with the help of locals who are based in the province.

Our favorite Biyahero will get to know the people, their way of life, and customs that shaped Lanao del Sur's identity even dating back to pre-Islamic periods.
Find out too if you have what it takes to prepare local delicacies at home or, perhaps, where to buy authentic Lanao del Sur food here in the city.
Catch Biyahe ni Drew this Friday, May 7, 5:45 p.m. on GTV.
