Filipino viewers were overwhelmed with immense pride and excitement following the appearance of award-winning actress Dolly de Leon in the newly released season of Netflix's highly acclaimed live-action adaptation, Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Making her debut right in the season premiere, de Leon took on the dual roles of Lo and Li, the twin sisters tasked with mentoring the formidable Fire Nation princess, Azula, in the art of firebending.
Following the second season's global premiere on Thursday, June 25, social media was instantly flooded with praise from amazed netizens.

She revealed that this project marks the very first time in her career playing twin characters, a unique acting challenge that she enthusiastically described as a “dream come true.”
“I'm extremely excited and honored to be part of an iconic live action version of an animated cult classic. It's my first time to play twins, which is the best fun in a creative process. It's a dream come true,” she said.
