
Abot-Kamay na Pangarap actor Dominic Ochoa paid tribute to his best friend Rico Yan, Ricardo Carlos Castro Yan in real life, yesterday (March 29), his 21st death anniversary.
The whole nation was shocked when the news got out on March 29, 2002, that one of the most popular actors at that time died while on vacation at Dos Palmas Resort in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Rico was 27.
Autopsy reports showed that he suffered from cardiac arrest due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis.
Dominic even joined Rico's loved one when they visited his grave at the Manila Memorial Park (MMP) in Sucat, Parañaque.
Aside from Rico, celebrities like AJ Perez and Helen Vela are also buried in the memorial park.
Meanwhile, the late actor's sibling, Tina, thanked everyone who came and remembered Rico on his death anniversary.
She wrote, “Remembering you today, 21 years ago. Thank you so much to everyone who joined the family at MMP. Special thanks for being there, Dom @domochoa
“Thank you Amy, Thor, Mark, Jenn, and everyone for the never-ending love and support.”
Former actress G. Toengi also left a comment on Tina's post saying, “How has it been 21 years??? Sending love and light”
Dominic worked with Rico Yan and Marvin Agustin in the defunct sitcom Whattamen.
