Dominic Zapata on lead star Dingdong Dantes: “He likes challenging himself”
Multi-awarded actor Dingdong Dantes wants to push the boundaries of what the team can offer audiences in Book Two of the high-rating primetime series The Master Cutter.
On October 14, a new chapter began for Atoy (Dingdong Dantes) and the rest of the Tabang-Lupa residents. In a quick interview with 24 Oras, the show's director, Dominic Zapata, shared that Dingdong is determined to raise the bar even higher in the upcoming “Anak ng Sinulid” arc.
“Si Dingdong [Dantes] mismo because he likes challenging himself. In fact, mapili 'yan sa mga bawat proyekto niya. Because it's not a new show, he will treat it like, ano pa 'yung maidadagdag ko dito sa ginagawa namin,” Direk Dominic said.
He added, “In terms of action, in terms of acting, in terms of 'yung relationship ng mga characters.”
Echoing their director's sentiments, Sparkle drama actress Max Collins shared that Book Two will offer exciting storylines for fans.
Max explained to Chika Minute, “So Audrey, Ibyang, Janine, and Atoy ay isang pamilya na, and 'yun 'yung maganda sa Season Two. Mas marami pang makaka-relate kasi family life. At the same time, there are extra things going on, but maganda pa rin 'yung samahan ng pamilya.”

Talking about the story of Book Two, Jo Berry said, “Excited din kami. Hindi pa namin alam kung ano-ano 'yung misyon na 'yun, pero nakita na namin sa script na madami-dami, so abangan n'yo po 'yun.”
Meanwhile, Charlie is thrilled about the new characters who will join them in future episodes.
“We are super-super happy about Book Two kasi ang daming papasok na bagong characters, so we are just so excited for our characters to reach more people talaga,” she said.
