Dr Dre Walk of Fame Star


Multi-awarded Dr. Dre now receives his Hollywood Walk of Fame star!

It's another remarkable milestone for American hip-hop producer Dr. Dre as he received his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last March 19 (PT).

In the category of Recording, Dre was awarded with the 2,775th star, which was placed beside his longtime friend, Snoop Dogg.

The event was hosted by radio personality and Walk of Famer Big Boy, together with legendary guest speakers Snoop Dogg and music impresario, Jimmy Iovine.

During his speech, Snoop Dogg expressed gratitude for witnessing the awarding ceremony and thanked the honoree producer for being his “teacher, mentor, brother, guardian, protector, and most importantly, a good friend."

Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ana Martinez, described Dr. Dre's contributions as undeniable and left an indelible mark on the music culture.

She added, "As a producer, rapper, and entrepreneur, Dr. Dre has continuously pushed boundaries and set new standards for excellence. It is with great pride that we honor his incredible career and extraordinary impact by awarding him a star on the Walk of Fame."

Other legendary hip-hop artists like 50 Cent and Eminem supported the actor as they attended the unveiling of Dre's Walk of Fame star.


In his legendary career, Dr. Dre already took home nine Grammy Awards and hailed in events like MTV Video Music Awards and Soul Train Awards.

In 2022, the producer and artist collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar on the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. Their special performance earned them an Emmys for Outstanding Variety Special Award.

Dr. Dre began his career as a member of the American electro group, World Class Wreckin' Cru. Shortly after, he co-founded the revolutionary group N.W.A., which became the fifth hip-hop group included in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (2016) and was recently honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award (2024).

In 1996, he established Aftermath Entertainment where he discovered current legendary hip-hop stars such as Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, and Anderson.

Together with Jimmy Iovine, both famous personalities launched several companies and foundations: Beats Electronics, Beats Music - Apple, USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy, Iovine and Young Center (IYC), and many more.
