South Korean sweetheart IU is in Manila for the first time for her 'Love, Poem' concert tour.
South Korean musician and actress IU staged her first concert in Manila last Friday, December 13 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The concert is part of her 'Love, Poem' tour in Asia.
She is also known for her acting roles in Korean dramas 'Dream High' (2011), 'The Producers'(2015), 'Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo' (2016), and 'Hotel del Luna' (2019).
During her concert, IU sang “Say You Love Me” and said she's a big fan of MYMP.
IU also showed her skills in Tagalog and charmed her Filipino fans collectively known as Uaenas.
She complimented her fans for their strong cheers and said, “Ang galing niyo.”
Her Uaenas in Philippines gave her so much happiness, IU said, “Masaya ang pakiramdam ko.”
She felt grateful for her Filipino fans' support. “Salamat dahil gusto niyo ako.”
Before taking a water break, IU said, “Iinom lang ako ng tubig.” She also promised her fans she'll try to come back. “Babalik ako para makita kayo ulit.”
She sang some of her famous songs such as “BBIBBI,” “Good Day,” “Palette,” “Unlucky,” “Red Shoes,” “Ending Scene.”
IU also explored around Manila before her concert. In this photo, IU was photographed with her longtime bodyguard known to fans as Mr. Park.
She couldn't forget her fans' passionate cheers. During the concert she said, “This is the first time since my debut that I can't hear my own voice."
She's already wearing gifts from her Filipino fans.
She wrote on Instagram, “My eardrums doesn't work yet. Maena is perfect. It's like the whole nation is a singer. I can't forget your blissful face when you were enjoying the 앵앵콜. MAHAL KITA.”
