Over 7,000 runners woke up early on a chilly December 1 morning to join and support Mcdonald's Philippines's annual benefit run at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Several Kapuso stars attended charity event led by Asia's Multimedia star Alden Richards, award-winning comedian Michael V., and Kapuso primetime queen Marian Rivera with her daughter Zia Dantes.

In an exclusive chat of GMANetwork.com, Alden said that he is eager to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) programs especially their advocacy geared to help the education of young children.

He explained, "Maliit lang talaga itong participation ko dito actually, it's really more of 'yung RMHC and McDonald's giving back to a lot of people, especially to the kids.

"Kasi, the proceed of this event would go to the Read to Learn program ng RMHC, which I really support advocacy when it comes to education with children and also housing.

"So 'yun 'yung sinu-support ng RMHC now, so I'm very happy and proud to be here.

“Ten years na ang McDO Stripes Run and since I became the endorser of McDO, I've been attending the event every year.

The Asia's Multimedia star was also looking forward to meet and bond with the kids who joined the Stripes Run this year.

"Excited tayo diyan and talagang gumising ng maaga on the weekend. I'm happy that every year McDonald's has been consistent with pushing through with this event every year, of course for the benefit of RMHC."

Meanwhile, Kapuso primetime queen Marian Rivera also gave a short speech during the program to thank all the participants who made this benefit run a success.

Other celebrities who were spotted in the event were Ogie Alcasid, UP Fighting Maroons star cagers Juan and Javi Gomez de Liano.

Anthony Pangilinan and Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan also participated the event with their Donny and Solana.

Proceeds of the The Stripes Run 2019 will be given to the RMHC program called 'Read To Learn' that will help thousands of public school students in Grades One and Two.
