Fans, get your desktops and internet connections ready because Twitter will be hosting a live broadcast concert with media company and label 88Rising titled “Asia Rising Forever.”

On May 7, starting at 11 am (Philippine time), popular Asian acts such as Kang Daniel, Rich Brian, and Stephanie Poetri will be joined by Alextbh, Audrey Nuna, CLC, Dumfoundead, and Filipino singer Iñigo Pascual will be performing to their audiences for four hours straight.

The participating acts will showcase a variety of content such as exclusive interviews, surprise games, and intimate performances from the comfort of their bedrooms through the “Asia Rising Forever” live stream.

Cheshires, fans of CLC, get your questions ready because the Korean pop girl group will have a special question-and-answer portion during the live stream event that you don't want to miss.

During the broadcast, donations will also be raised to overcome racial discrimination against Asians around the world due to COVID-19.

On May 1st, Twitter launched a special emoji to celebrate “Asia Rising Forever.” So whenever you tweet the hashtags, “#88Rising,” “#AsiaRisingForever,” “#AsiaRising,” and “#StayHomeWith88Rising” it will automatically apply the special emoji in the shape of the 88Rising event logo, which will be available until July 26.

According to Yeon Jeon Kim, head of Global K-pop and K-content Partnerships at Twitter, “Music has the power to bring people together across borders, races, and religions. I hope this Twitter Live will bring the world together to gain momentum to overcome COVID-19.”

This isn't the first time Twitter held a live stream event on the social media platform.

On March 26, EXO's Suho went live on Twitter to promote his new album “Self-Portrait" and even answered some fan questions.
