Members of the press and select APO Hiking Society fans were in for a treat during the gala night of the 'Eto Na! Musikal nAPO!' where the audience was given a preview of the musical. 'Eto Na! Musikal nAPO!' is set to open at Maybank Performing Arts Theater, starting August 3 until August 26
Music from the iconic OPM group APO Hiking Society are featured in 'Eto Na! Musikal nAPO!'
The musical also shows life in the Philippines during the '70s, including the Martial Law era.
Kapuso actress Marika Sasaki is among the cast of the musical.
APO Hiking Society member Jim Paredes said, “This is a lifework, I've been writing for so many years, I've been singing this song for so many years, and all of a sudden they give it a new twist and people are loving it.”
OPM singer Mark Bautista is also among the musical's cast.
Kapuso singer Rita Daniela will play Mark Bautista's love interest in the musical.
The APO Hiking Society's music depicts different stories, which will be shown in the musical.
'Eto Na! Musikal nAPO!' is produced by 9 Works Theatrical in partnership with Globe Telecom. The musical will run from August 3 to August 26 in Maybank Performing Arts Theater, in Bonifacio Global City.
