Jessica Villarubin is filled with gratitude and love following the early success of her new single titled “Beautiful.”
Jessica, who emerged as the grand champion in The Clash Season 3, dropped her sophomore song under GMA Music today, on her 25th birthday.
The Power Diva sees “Beautiful” as her birthday gift for herself, and she is more than elated that her new single debuted at #1 on iTunes Top 200 All Genres and iTunes Top 200 Pop charts.
She said in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, “Grabe! Di po ako makapaniwala, na number 1 po ako. Di ko po inexpect.
"Masayang-masaya po ako dahil gusto ko talaga maka-inspire ng maraming tao sa song na 'to, to remind them to have self-worth and self-love.”
Furthermore, Jessica claimed that “Beautiful” holds a special place in her heart because of the story it carries.
“Importante siya para sa akin kasi it's all about my journey.
"'Yung na-experience ko na na-bully ako, mga taong di naniniwala sa akin, di 'yun naging hadlang sa pag-abot ng mga pangarap ko sa buhay.
"This song will always remind me to love myself more.”
The Kapuso star also took her thanks and appreciation to social media.
Jessica is slated to release a music video for “Beautiful” which also features Yasser Marta.
