Beauty queen and Kapuso actress Patricia Tumulak is currently gearing up for her role in the upcoming series Magkaagaw.
Patricia will be playing the role of Gilda, an affluent New Yorker and cousin of the career-driven Veron, the character of renowned actress Sheryl Cruz.
With the overarching theme of female empowerment in the storyline, the actress couldn't help but applaud the writers and the staff of the soap.
“It's very informative.
“And speaking of empowerment, we're educating not just kids but also women na you can do it on your own, you can be independent and not rely on anyone.
“Parang you're choosing career over love, which is I'm all for that,” she says to GMANetwork.com.
Which begs the question to the former beauty queen, which would she choose: career or love?
“Career,” she confidently answers.
“If it's true love talaga then he or she should support you. Hindi ka dapat 'yung magiging hindrance but ikaw 'yung person na dapat supportive with your significant other's decisions.
“It's all about timing kasi.
“Career only comes once in a lifetime, so why would you blow it?
“So dapat supportive ka with whatever decision I have and that's true love for me. If 'di ka supportive, then you're not for me.
“Kung 'di ka happy for me, then it shouldn't be that way. Ano yun? Ikaw lang successful? No! Dapat it works both ways.”
