As Toni Gonzaga marked her 41st birthday yesterday (January 20), her sister Alex paid tribute to her by expressing her gratitude for always being there for her during some difficult period.

In her Instagram post, Alex uploaded a short video clip with Toni and wrote in the caption, “Happy birthday ate. Thank you for being the best big sister.

Alex continued, “Witnessing your strength and resilience firsthand will always inspire me. Last year, we unlocked a new level of sisterhood and I'm so grateful that we truly have each other's backs. I love you sisss and the family you built. I will always root and pray for your joy and happiness!”

The birthday girl replied back to her youngest sister's post saying, “Happy birthday! Thank you for visiting me today…”

Before transferring to ABS-CBN in 2005, Toni was a mainstay in Eat Bulaga, which aired GMA-7 at the time. She was also part of the award-winning Kapuso gag show Bubble Gang.
