Actress Gretchen Barretto says that her willingness to become a better daughter and mother to her children is thanks to her younger sister, Claudine Barretto.
On Instagram, the two sisters showed their loyalty to one another after Claudine posted a family photo celebrating their parents' civil wedding anniversary.
“Happy civil wedding anniversary, Mom and Dad,” Claudine wrote in the caption.
“We miss you, Dad. Thank you, JJ Barretto and @gretchenbarretto.”
In the comments section, Gretchen seems happy to see their family looking happy and united despite the obstacles that have come their way.
“I am overjoyed to see you all looking so happy. [Do] know that I appreciate each of you for making mom aliw,” she said.
“Bro J, I am proud of you. Baby girl, Clau, thank you for inspiring me to be a better daughter.”
First death anniversary
On Thursday, October 15, Claudine marked the first death anniversary of the Barretto patriarch, Miguel Barretto.
It can be recalled that their father passed away at the age of 82 last year and was followed by a surge of controversies between Claudine, Gretchen, and their sister Marjorie during his burial ceremony.
To mark the said occasion, Claudine posted a photo of a cake that said, “We miss and love you, Daddy,” in the icing.
She wrote in the caption, “The first death anniversary of my Dad. We terribly miss you, Dad.
“It's been a year already, and it hurts more and more each day. We love you, Daddy. Forever and always.”
