Cherry Pie Picache responds to 'cougar comment' on her photo with son
Cherry Pie Picache is spending the first few days of the New Year with her son Jose Antonio “Nio” Tria in the beautiful island paradise of Boracay.
The TV and movie actress has been actively sharing her bonding moments with her 18-year-old son on Instragram. Nio is Cherry Pie's son with ex-partner Gerry Tria.
While many enjoyed looking at their mother-and-son bonding photos, a netizen seemed to have gotten the wrong idea about the actress and called her a “cougar” in one of the comments.
According to dictionary.com, a woman referred to as a “cougar” means an older woman who seeks sexual relationships with much younger men.
Instead of getting angry, the former Atlantika actress politely responded to the netizen's inappropriate comment.
She said, “He is my son and the only man in my life.”
After this, the netizen quickly apologized to Cherry for the wrong impression.
“I am very sorry for my wrong interpretation. Sorry again.
"May God continue to bless you both with endless love and togetherness. I have been your fan forever due to your beauty and spirituality.”

Cherry Pie is extremely proud of her multi-achiever son Nio, who plays tennis.
Nio even competed in the2016 International Tennis Federation (ITF) competition in Vietnam, where he won in the under 14 doubles category.
Last March 2020, he also graduated in high school to the delight of his mom.
Cherry Pie even posted a heartfelt congratulatory message on Instagram for this new milestone of Nio.
"All the sleepless nights, cramming, the 6 hour traffic you endured for 2 years in your senior years and juggling the pressures of training everyday, tournaments with your academics as a student-athlete. CONGRATULATIONS son!!!!"
"As much as I am grateful to God dahil natapos na natin hanggang Highschool, in these trying trying times, I give more praise and thankful to God that we are well and pray that we continue to be well, that we have a roof over our heads, food on the table and enough to be able to still share with our poor brothers. So it's all good right son??"

The actress gave birth to her only son on April 28, 2002.
