Fantastic Beasts The Secrets of Dumbledore

The third film in the 'Fantastic Beasts' franchise sets up a confrontation with Grindelwald.

Potterheads looking to get another journey into the magical wizarding world will soon get another fix as Warner Bros. releases the latest trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore on its social media accounts and YouTube channel.

The trailer begins with Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) talking about listening carefully to the past, before moving the scene to Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) meeting Aberforth, Dumbledore's brother.

Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) is then shown to be gathering his forces, with Dumbledore asking Newt to trust him so they can defeat him. In a separate scene, Newt's brother Theseus (Callum Turner) makes light of the disparate team brought together to take down Grindelwald.

Several scenes of magical fighting are then shown before the trailer ends with a comedic scene involving muggle Jacob (Dan Fogler) and a wand.

As of this writing, the trailer has already gained 1.4 million views on the Warner Bros. Twitter account.

The trailer release comes after the announcement of a Harry Potter reunion special on HBO Max. Set to air on New Year's Day, January 1, 2022, the reunion will reunite Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson with director Chris Columbus and cast members from all eight films of the franchise.

Some of the cast members that will make an appearance are Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, and Ian Hart.

Most of the child actor alumni of the Harry Potter franchise have gone on to have successful and thriving careers in film and television. Even those who chose to abandon acting, like Colin Creevey actor Hugh Mitchell, have had successful careers out of the entertainment industry.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore comes to theaters in the United States on April 15, 2022 and April 8, 2022 in the United Kingdom.
