WATCH: Heart Evangelista is included in the list of Real Crazy Rich Asians

Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista is one of the Asian socialites included in renowned fashion magazine Harper BAZAAR's feature on Crazy Rich Asians author Kevin Kwan.

Kevin interviewed some of the real-life wealthy 'It Girls' of Asia: Feiping Chang, Michelle Yeoh, Rachel Yeoh, and our very own Heart Evangelista.

He described Heart as lauded actress and artist. “She's really the darling of the Philippines. She's one of their most acclaimed actresses. She's also a really gifted artist. She's had amazing museum shows in the Philippines of her paintings.”

Heart spoke about the beauty of couture, the creation of custom-made clothing. “Couture itself was made to make the client feel special. It's made for you.”

She added, “Even just going to fittings, or like when you're attending shows, they're like they're putting dresses on you, it's just so fun."

Heart also shared her passion for collecting bags. “I'm a collector, I love collecting bags, Birkins, specifically and Kelly's. It's a really good investment.”

She also narrated how she started painting on her Birkin bags.

“I had a lizard skin Birkin and it was orange and I was eating French fries at Chili's and they had cheese. And I did not notice that it was already under my bag when I brought it home. I tried to clean it, I asked around and it was just impossible to fix. So I said, okay, why don't I paint on it? And I loved it.”
