The Danger 8 is now complete. Jan Manual, Dex Quindoza, Jesi Corcuera and Lizzy Pecson have taken their final bows on the StarStruck stage.
Six Avengers held hands as the beating of their hearts was echoed by the loud heartbeat resounding from the walls of the studio. Four of them took their final bows on StarStruck as two of them became the last members of the Danger 8.
February 25, 2007.
StarStruck's Danger 8 is now complete with Mart Escudero coming back from his Avenger status a week after he was demoted, and Rich Asuncion resuming her Survivor duties after being the last one eliminated prior to the wild card twist that changed the game this season.
Things certainly are heating up, even as the Survivors breathed easy this week because they were not in any danger. Meanwhile, the Avengers pulled out all the stops in acting, singing and dancing as they sought to prove that they deserve to be in the Danger 8. With tests from award-winning actress and director Laurice Guillen, the Avengers faced off with the Survivors in short films that stretched their acting abilities to its limits.
The Survivors and Avengers continued their face-off in last Sunday's live show with a performance of Joey De Leon's "Itaktak Mo", Christina Aguilera's "Hurt", and The Beatle's "Get Back".
That night, amidst the screams of the audience, the hosts announced the recepients of the director's Best Actor and Best Actress awards. Aljur Abrenica proved that he is worthy of his Survivor status when he received the Best Actor award for his role in "Rosas," and Kris Bernal received the Best Actress award for the versatility she showed in "Ikot". Being Survivors, the two were not in any danger of being eliminated. And neither were Prince Stefan, Paulo Avelino, Jewel Mische and Stef Prescott.
That left Jan Manual, Dex Quindoza, Jesi Corcuera (fresh from Louie Ignacio’s compliments for her drama flick) and Lizzy Pecson (who received compliments from guest judge Mr. Douglas Nieras for being the most graceful) on the chopping block. The four took their final bows on the
StarStruck stage.
