Firefly at Lasallian Scholarum Awards


More than a year after it was first shown in cinemas, 'Firefly' continues to receive awards, this time being the first-ever Outstanding Feature Film on Youth and Education at the Lasallian Scholarum Awards.

Firefly, the award-winning film produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs, continues to make history as it earns the first-ever Outstanding Feature Film on Youth and Education award at the Lasallian Scholarum Awards.

MMFF 2024 Best Screenplay winner Anj Atienza and creative producer Kristian Julao accepted the award on March 13 at the DLSU Manila Campus.

Since it was first shown in the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival, Firefly continues to win awards both locally and abroad.

Firefly, starring Alessandra De Rossi and Euwenn Mikaell, tells the story of a child named Tonton (Euwenn) and his journey on finding the mythical island of fireflies based on his mother's bedtime story.

The film also stars Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Cherry Pie Picache, Epy Quizon, and Yayo Aguila. Kapuso actress Max Collins and Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes also have special participations.

Firefly is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
