glaiza de castro and xian lim in false positive

"Wait!! What?? Parang first time ko makakita ng series na buntis 'yung lalaki sa Philippine TV,' one netizen commented after seeing the teaser of the upcoming GMA primetime series 'False Positive.'

Netizens can't help but feel intrigued by the storyline of the upcoming Kapuso series False Positive.

This is after GMA released an omnibus trailer of the programs that will air in the first quarter of 2022 in the station's primetime block called GMA Telebabad. The said trailer includes False Positive--a romantic comedy--top-billed by Glaiza De Castro and Xian Lim where they will play Yannie Dela Guardia and Edward Dela Guardia, respectively.

The video opens with Yannie and Edward visiting a park. Edward swears to Yannie in front of a fountain with sculptures of mythical Pinoy characters Malakas and Maganda that he will grant all her wishes before exchanging "I love yous."

The video transitions to pregnant Yannie malevolently wishing on the fountain to let her now-husband Edward experience what she feels as an expectant mom after he ignores her.

The 'Malakas' and 'Maganda' sculptures then come to life. Buboy Villar and Herlene "Hipon" Budol breathe life to the popular local mythical characters.

After the magical transformation, it seems Yannie's wish has been granted as Edward learns that a fetus has developed in his tummy as he undergoes an ultrasound.

According to a certain netizen, she found the story of False Positive interesting because this is the first time she saw a pregnant man on TV.

Apart from the unique storyline, some netizens said this is a breath of fresh air for Glaiza who usually portrays heavy drama roles. Before False Positive, she played the sorrowful Maita in GMA afternoon series Nagbabagang Luha, the TV adaptation of the '80s movie of the same title.

For some, especially moms out there, they thought Edward's unbelievable "pregnancy" serves as a reminder for men to value mothers.

False Positive also stars Nova Villa, Tonton Gutierrez, Rochelle Pangilinan, Dominic Roco, Yvette Sanchez, and Luis Hontiveros.

Directed by Irene Villamor, False Positive premieres soon on GMA.
