Iza to her late mom: “Wish we were given more time to experience this adventure called life together.”
It is never easy to lose one's parents and for versatile actress Iza Calzado, the death of her mom Mary Ann Ussher had a profound effect on her.

On Instagram, the former Encantadia star penned a tear-jerking tribute to her late mom on her 19th death anniversary.
In a somber tone, Iza said, “19 years ago, I lost you. How quickly time flies. I am learning so much about life and how tough it can be but also discovering how beautiful it is.”
She added, “I understand you a little better with each passing year. Wish we were given more time to experience this adventure called life together but deep inside I know you are with me in everything I do.
“I love you, Mama. I wish you peace, love and light.”
It was reported in a news website article in October 2019, that Mary Ann Ussher committed suicide.
Iza has been part of several big shows of GMA-7 including Atlantika (2006), Impostora (2007), and I Heart You Pare (2011)
