
Danny Boyle's Frankenstein will be streamed in full and free on the official YouTube channel of the National Theater.
The play was originally staged back in 2011 with actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Johnny Lee Miller, who both played Sherlock Holmes in separate television adaptations, alternated playing the roles of Frankenstein and his Creature.
It is a stage adaptation of Mary Shelley's seminal science fiction masterpiece, Frankenstein and is directed by award-winning director Danny Boyle.
The play was also broadcast to cinemas around the world as part of the National Theater Live program.

Viewers will be in for a special treat this weekend as two versions of the play will stream back to back.
The version with Cumberbatch playing the Creature will stream on May 1 at 2:00 am.
It will be followed by Miller's take on the Creature on May 2 at 2:00 am.
The livestreaming of Frankenstein is part of the National Theater at Home initiative which streams full-length plays every week for free. It also aims to raise funds for the National Theater which has temporarily closed its doors to the public due to COVID-19.
