The 'Friends' Experience was first staged in New York and Boston back in 2019 to celebrate the iconic show's 25th anniversary.

It was created by global entertainment group Superfly X, who are also the same team behind Bonnarroo and Outside Lands music festivals.

After much clamor from 'Friends' fans, the creators finally gave in and decided to bring the interactive pop-up to Chicago.

There are 12 rooms and activations in the two-level pop-up that fans can explore, each carefully assembled to accurately recreate the well-loved '90s sitcom in all its glory.

Among the interactive exhibits are Monica's kitchen, Chandler and Joey's apartment (with the foosball table and recliner), the “Pivot!” staircase and couch, the iconic fountain and orange sofas in the opening credits of the show, and a full recreation of Central Perk. All of which are definitely Instagram-worthy and perfect for selfies.

Fans will also see actual scripts and original costumes used by the 'Friends' cast, and there's even a display of wigs showcasing Rachel's hair evolution.

As for safety protocols, visitors will be required to wear face masks and there will also be temperature checks at the entrance. Social distancing will also be observed through timed entry by small groups of visitors.

There are also hand sanitizing stations throughout the exhibit and disinfecting wipes fittingly called “Monica Clean!”

“The Friends Experience: The One in Chicago” is located at The Shops at North Bridge, 540 N. Michigan Ave. and will stay open until January 3, 2021. General admission tickets are priced at 35 U.S. dollars or around 1,700 pesos.
