Gabbi Garcia shares with Luis Manzano how her showbiz career began.

In the latest episode of Luis Manzano's online talk show series "Luis Listens" Gabbi Garcia shares her humble beginnings and memorable moments from when she started in show business.

When asked about her beginnings, Gabbi said that she almost got into a famous reality TV show, but was only able to reach the third callback. She also shared her first encounter with Luis Manzano who was then the host of a famous talent competition show in the 2000s.

Aside from her attempts to join reality TV shows and competitions, Gabbi also did modeling gigs and acted on the side, landing bit roles where she had to invest in her own clothes.

While talking about Gabbi's beginnings, Luis asked the Sparkle star why she wanted to make a name in the industry, to which she answered, “Bata pa lang ako, I really wanted [to perform] in front of an audience.” She also added that she likes the energy she receives from the audience when performing.

Gabbi even humored Luis and said, “In short, bida-bida ako noong bata ako.”

Meanwhile, she also shared how the series Unbreak My Heart helped her as an actress. The series was the first collaboration project between GMA Network and ABS-CBN and it starred Jodi Sta. Maria, Joshua Garcia, Gabbi, and Richard Yap.

She said the she learned a lot as an actress and it gave her lots of opportunities to connect more with her fellow celebrities.

Aside from her role in Unbreak My Heart, Gabbi also mentioned one of her biggest breaks in showbiz, being part of GMA Network's fantasy series Encantadia (2016) where she played Sang'gre Alena. It was also confirmed that she will be reprising her role as Sang'gre Alena in the latest series from the Encantadia franchise, Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre.

She even teased viewers and said that there will be new characters to watch for that will surely elevate the story and make it as iconic as the previous installments.

Gabbi also shared in her interview that she also wants to venture into other roles such as doing GL (girls' love) and LGBTQIA+ roles, as well as any character that has “lady boss” energy to empower women.
