Garret Bolden in Miss Saigon Guam 2022

Garrett Bolden is thankful for the amazing opportunity he found in 'Miss Saigon.'

One of the most fulfilling roles for any artist is to be included in an international project and Garrett Bolden's role in the recently concluded Miss Saigon tour in Guam was one “great journey.”

In an Instagram post, the Kapuso Soul Balladeer thanked the production team of the show in Guam and described his experience as a great journey.

“Thank you Miss Saigon Guam for this amazing opportunity. I will bring home all the learnings and memories to the Philippines with pride and joy,” he said.

He also thanked the Lord for giving him the chance to perform in theatre and for the chance to “explore and mold my talent outside of my comfort zone.”

“Praying for my next theater project,” he added.

He also addressed his character, John Thomas, and expressed how blessed he is to tell his story.

“I'm gonna miss portraying you,” he added.

John is one of the main characters of the stage musical and is the best friend of the protagonist Chris Scott. He also contributed to the relationship between Chris and Kim.

A few audiences of the stage play even praised his portrayal of the character, saying that he was as good as Hugh Maynard, the actor who portrayed the same character in the 25th Anniversary of Miss Saigon.

Meanwhile, some audiences also revealed how Garrett's scenes are some of the parts they liked and even expressed congratulations to the balladeer.

Back in July, Garrett announced that he was chosen to play John and flew to Guam in early August to prepare for the role. In September, they had their opening night where Garrett expressed how he wasn't sure that he could do justice to the role.

Garrett played John for the last time on their show on Sept 5 and he is set to return to the Philippines soon.
