Kapuso comedienne Gladys Guevarra is having the time of her life in New York City with her husband Mike Navarrete. The couple tied the knot last May 2021 in the US.
Recently, Gladys shared photos of her performing songs and doing stand-up comedy in a New York City restaurant.
She started "Grabe, I really miss performing. Napakasaya ng gabing to sa D' Haven Restaurant sa Woodside, New York City. Thank you so much guys."
She also shared her husband has never seen her perform onstage live and had no idea she was in showbiz when they first met. "Eto nang kwento, never pa ko napanood ng asawa kong nag perform eversince. Kasi nga, to begin with hindi nya ko kilala (which is a good thing)."
"When we started dating, alam lang nya may Gladys Guevarra na artista daw, but he doesn't have any idea, ano ginagawa ko and kung ano meron at ganap. So after the show nitong gabi sa New York . . . Isa lang nasabi ng asawa ko . . . “Grabe! Iba ka pala talaga mahal. Ang galing mo! Sobra! Kakaiba kang performer,” she added.
"Sabi ko pa, feeling ko nga hindi pa 'yan yung best ko, gawa ng matagal na pahinga sa pandemic na to, parang feeling ko kako nangalawang ako. Sabi nya “No mahal! You still have it! Galing mo, grabe ka!” Thank you Mahal ko. #newyork #newyorkcity" shared the actress/host.
Gladys used to be one of the hosts of the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines, Eat Bulaga. She also appeared in several TV shows and movies aside from being a stand-up comedienne.
