We've seen and heard celebs do a K-drama version of some Filipino lines but never in another dialect. Or at least this writer hasn't... until Gladys Reyes' posted a sample of her "K-Pampangan."
Gladys is known in show business for many of her kontrabida roles, but wait until you see her speaking in Kapampangan with a Korean intonation and you'd see this actress in a totally different light.
In the video, Gladys said:
"O, Ma, how will I go there?
"Huh? She went out already?
"Who was she with?
"Oh, no, no, no!
"Please tell my siblings that I will just bring uncle and my sister.
"Ok, mom, I need to go, I'll just call you later."
In another video, Gladys was acting like a jealous K-Pampangan girlfriend.
Gladys' celebrity friends were so amused as evident in the messages they left in the comments section.
According to Gladys, she's been watching old and new K-series lately to destress. The actress is currently in isolation after being exposed to the hospital.
She wrote: "We have different ways of coping with this pandemic, aside from doing the most important things to make sure our family is safe and healthy, lately...
"Enjoying @jichangwook's series and this Korean song got me when I heard it, from an old series, Healer. Here's my version of it, love the lyrics and melody of it."
Lastly, Gladys reminded everyone to "choose to have positive thoughts and attitude despite what's happening around us. Do the simple things that make you happy. God is in control."
