As the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we are reminded to look after not just our physical fitness but as well as our mental health.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Kapuso actress Glaiza de Castro offers ways on how we can deal with these heavy energies.
Glaiza lists the ways she personally finds effective in keeping stress and anxiety in check.
Glaiza is a firm believer of the benefits one can reap from working out.
She says, “Malaki 'yung nadudulot ng exercise. Siyempre nandiyan na 'yung endorphins, 'di ba. 'Yung blood flow mo nagigin maayos ulit, nare-regulate.
Glaiza has been turning to online streaming and watching series for her breather. She recommends others to also subscribe and view anything that may provide inspiration and positivity.
So ayun, dapat choose your series or movies wisely.”
Glaiza has also found a new way to cope with the negativity and that's spending more time in the kitchen.
Ayan iiyak ka pero na-di-distract 'yung mind mo from thinking negative thoughts or entertaining negative thoughts.”
Another habit that Glaiza wishes to practice more is reading.
She suggests others to do the same, saying, “Whether ano ba 'yan, novel 'yan or siyempre news nandiyan na 'yan, basta magbasa ka lang…
For Glaiza, another effective coping technique is to try and take charge.
She tells, “Gumising nang maaga. Go out, breathe. Look [at] what's around you, find inspiration, or better yet… kung meron kang hindi gusto na nakikita mo sa paligid mo, change it.”
Glaiza admits that the days remain difficult but she also reminds us to keep on fighting.
The Kapuso actress empathizes with the rest, saying, “Okay lang na malungkot.
"I-try natin as much as possible na hindi tayo matalo ng kahit na anong negativities kasi we're stronger than that.
"We're stronger than what our minds think of some times kasi minsan nililito rin tayo niyan eh.
