GMA Network was named Best TV Station while multiple Kapuso talents and programs have bagged notable recognitions at the 35th Star Awards for Television. Congratulations, Kapuso!

GMA looks set to have a winning year this 2023 as the Kapuso Network has multiple talents and shows recognized at the 35th Star Awards For Television, held at Winford Manila Resort and Casino last Saturday (January 28).

GMA-7 took home the top award for Best TV Station, while the accolade for Best Daytime Drama Series went to Prima Donnas. The Best Drama Mini Series award, on the other hand, was conferred to Agimat ng Agila.

Meanwhile, Magpakailanman, hosted by multi-awarded broadcast journalist Mel Tiangco, bagged the recognition for Best Drama Anthology.

Seasoned actor John Estrada won as Best Drama Supporting Actor for his role in the GMA drama series Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat, while Jennylyn Mercado was awarded Best Single Performance By An Actress for her role in the “Sa Kamay ng Fake Healer” episode of Magpakailanman.

Pepito Manaloto was named Best Comedy Show once more, while the Best Comedy Actor and Best Comedy Actress recognitions went to Paolo Contis (Bubble Gang) and Manilyn Reynes (Pepito Manaloto), respectively.

The recognition for Best Horror/Fantasy Program was given to Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko, while All-Out Sundays was hailed Best Variety Show. Eat Bulaga host Paolo Ballesteros was named Best Male TV host.

On the news and public affairs front, Wish Ko Lang took home Best Public Service Program.

Born To Be Wild, hosted by Doc Ferds Recio and Doc Nielsen Donato, was named Best Educational Program, while Pinas Sarap host Kara David bagged the award for Best Educational Program Host.

I-Witness earned the recognition for Best Documentary Program, while the Best Documentary Program Host was awarded to Atom Araullo for his program The Atom Araullo Specials.

The Best Magazine Show award, on the other hand, went to Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, while Susan Enriquez and Mark Salazar were named Best Magazine Show Hosts for the GTV program IJuander.

GMA Network's flagship newscast 24 Oras clinched the Best News Program award and Vicky Morales was awarded Best Female Newscaster.

Unang Hirit was named Best Morning Show and its hosts Arnold Clavio, Connie Sison, Susan Enriquez, Nathaniel Cruz, Lyn Ching-Pascual, Suzie Entrata- Abrera, Ivan Mayrina, Lhar Santiago, Mariz Umali, and Love Anover were named Best Morning Show Hosts.

The award for Best Lifestyle Show went to Taste Buddies, which was hosted by Solenn Heussaff and Kapuso hunk Gil Cuerva, while actress-TV host Dianne Medina won the Best Lifestyle Show Host award for the GTV program Loving What You Do.

The Clash once again took home the award for Best Talent Search Program, while Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz were named Best Talent Search Program Hosts.
