GMA Network once again proved that it is the home of the country’s most outstanding Mass Media communicators after it took home 10 major awards at the De La Salle Araneta University’s 1st Gawad Lasallianeta.

GMA Network once again proved that it is the home of the country’s most outstanding Mass Media communicators after it took home 10 major awards at the De La Salle Araneta University’s 1st Gawad Lasallianeta—including the Most Outstanding TV Station award for GMA-7 and Most Outstanding AM Radio Station award for GMA Super Radyo DZBB.

GMA-7’s primetime newscast 24 Oras won as Most Outstanding News Show; while one of its anchors, GMA News pillar Mike Enriquez, was conferred the Most Outstanding Male News Anchor award. 

Fellow GMA News pillar Jessica Soho was recognized as Most Outstanding Female News Anchor for GMA News TV’s flagship newscast State of the Nation with Jessica Soho.

GMA News reporter Steve Dailisan, on the other hand, was named as Most Outstanding Male News Correspondent.

Multi-awarded investigative program Reporter’s Notebook took home the Most Outstanding Documentary Show honor.

Several programs and personalities of GMA Entertainment TV were also recognized.

Weekly infotainment show I-Bilib was recognized as this year’s Most Outstanding Educational Program. I-Bilib is hosted by Kapuso personality Chris Tiu.

Award-winning comedian Michael V. won as the Most Outstanding Male TV Actor for the country’s first-ever reality sitcom on television Pepito Manaloto.

Meanwhile, Eat Bulaga host Paulo Ballesteros was cited for his role in “Die Beautiful”.

De La Salle Araneta University also gave out the Zeal for Lasallian Excellence as Media Communicators to several Kapuso personalities who are alumni of Lasallian Schools: GMA News’ resident meteorologist and Unang Hirit host Nathaniel Cruz (De La Salle Araneta University); Born to Be Wild host Doc Nielsen Donato (De La Salle Araneta University); AlDub’s other half, Phenomenal Star and Eat Bulaga host Maine Mendoza (De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde); and Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera-Dantes (De La Salle University-Dasmariñas). 
  

The awarding ceremonies were held last September 19 at De La Salle Araneta University.
