Part of the GMA Thanksgiving Gala proceeds will also be donated to the victims of the recent earthquake in Abra.
The leading broadcast network in the Philippines, GMA Network held its first-ever GMA Thanksgiving Gala on July 30 at the Shangri-La The Fort in BGC, Taguig City.
It was one of the biggest Kapuso events that brought together the brightest Kapuso and Sparkle stars in the show business.
Aside from being the grandest event of celebrities, the said gala also served as a fund-raising event for the benefit of GMA Kapuso Foundation.
According to President and Programming Consultant to the Chairman of GMA Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, aside from donating funds to build classrooms in Magallanes Elementary School in Limasawa Island, some of the proceeds from the gala will be donated to the victims of the recent earthquake in Abra that happened last July 27, 2022.
Ms. AGV said in an interview with GMA Network.com, "Part of the proceeds will go to GMA Kapuso foundation, and I think that is one of their projects pero I think they will also give some part of the funds to Abra because of the recent earthquake."
Meanwhile, the GMA Thanksgiving Gala also hyped up the online netizens as it became a trending topic in the Twitter Philippines with the hashtag "GMAGalaNight" that has 106,000 tweets as of writing.
