Actres Miles Ocampo opened up about her thyroid health battle.

Her Instagram post on Friday night showed photos of her confined in a hospital for surgery. Miles revealed the photos were taken in March, during surgery, which came after her Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma diagnosis.

EndocrineWeb defines the condition as "the most common type of thyroid cancer."

The 25-year-old star admitted she "used to be scared of hospitals" but she hasn't been feeling well since last year.

"Waking up in the middle of the night cause I can't breathe, I get tired so easily, sooooo frustrated with my weight gain, para akong palaging hapong-hapo and sinasakal..." Miles described her symptoms.

After a series of tests, she was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma--which prompted her decision to undergo surgery as soon as possible.

Miles said "it all happened in an instant."

"I had to undergo Thyroidectomy surgery to remove my thyroid glands," she said.

She expressed her gratitude for her doctors, colleagues in showbiz, family, and her partner Elijah Canlas or Luiz, for their guidance and support.

"To my family: mama, papa, kuya, chochoy.. for checking on me, thank you for making sure I am not alone during those times, Mahal ko po kayo. To Luiz's mom and dad for being with me during my blood works too and for making me feel loved always, maraming salamat po."

She also thanked her Eat Bulaga! family, "To my @eatbulaga1979 and trusted friends who knew about what I went through, thank you for constantly checking up on me. Grateful to all of you."

Miles also addressed her partner, actor Elijah Canlas or Luiz. "And lastly to my Luiz, I couldn't have done any of this without you. Thank you for encouraging me to face my fears with doctors and hospital, to prioritize myself and to love myself. Thank you for being my strongest support."

The actress also gave an update on her health journey and asked people to refrain from making body-shaming comments. "A month after my operation, here I am embracing my journey and sharing it to all of you. I've been receiving messages from you guys who has the same situation with me that you're inspired with what I went through, but sharing your experiences too and reading your comments inspired me too. You are not alone. Sending my love to everyone. Love and prioritize yourself."

She continued, "PS: with or without any health conditions, no to body shaming. Be kind. Always. Please."

During a recent television interview, she said she needs one more procedure to be done and then "maintenance na lang for life."
