News about the virus has made the public, particularly the residents in some areas in Metro Manila where there are confirmed cases, panic and scared for their lives.

As reports of the patients and under monitoring suspected carriers increased rapidly, the Department of Health (DOH) made sure to relay to the public the precautionary measures to combat COVID-19.

Part of the campaign was the release of some lists of the measures the public should follow. But the latest effort DOH officials has made was their TikTok video made especially to spread awareness on how to prevent COVID-19.

Meanwhile, wearing face masks, maintaining proper hygiene, and boosting your immune system are the three best bets to avoid being infected with COVID-19. But there are also more specific things you can do or consume to better protect yourself from the potentially deadly virus.

In the wake COVID-19 scare, it was reported that eating malunggay can help you boost your immune system which is your best weapon against the deadly disease.

It is rich in Vitamins A, C, E, protein, iron, calcium, phosphorus, phytochemicals, and fiber which makes it a perfect aid in boosting one's immune system.

Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque even recommended people to include malunggay in their diet in order to have a stronger immune system. “Drink fruit juices rich in Vitamin C. Put malunggay in your soup,” he said in an interview.
