Alfred Vargas survives two-week self-quarantine

Actor-politician Alfred Vargas breathes a sigh of relief after ending his more than two-weeks of self-quarantine.

The Quezon City representative has decided to isolate himself for more than 14 days after a colleague in the House of Representative was tested postive for COVID-19.

On Instagram, Alfred shared his excitement to be with his kids and his wife Yasmine after the self-quarantine period.

"After more than two weeks in a room by myself, ang sarap ninyong makasama ulit mga anak [heart emoji].

"Thank you Amore @yasmine_vargas2307 for the photo. Stay safe and well always everyone

In a comment, Alfred also clarified that he did not took any test since he didn't have any symptoms.

"Thanks po Hindi po ako nagtest [because] wala naman po akong symptoms.

"Just needed to do quarantine to be safe since may nagpositive sa House of Representatives. God Bless Stay safe always."

Meanwhile, Alfred's wife, Yasmine was delighted to be reunited with her husband.

"After 16 days we're finally reunited. These past weeks have been very hard for me and my family (here and in Italy).

"But now that I'm in your arms again I finally feel secure and safe. You are the only one who can calm my heart and take away my fear.

"Forever grateful that I'm in this with you [heart emoji]. "


As of writing, the country recorded 1,418 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 42 recovered from it.

In other news, Alfred Varga's former Encantadia co-star, Iza Calzado, is currently recovering at the hospital after contracting the coronavirus.
