For her first public appearance after admitting that she had coronavirus, American singer P!nk shares the harrowing details of her illness and how she and her 3-year-old son, Jamesson, have survived one of the scariest chapters of their lives.

During a video call interview, P!nk tells The Ellen DeGeneres Show that the illness struck their household mid-March.

She says, “At a certain point around March 18, 19 or 20, when his fever was staying and going up. I woke up in the middle of the night and just couldn't breathe.”

She then recalls that she had a hard time breathing which led her to use a nebulizer--a device that turns medicine into a mist--'for the first time in 30 years.'

“I just couldn't function without it. That's when I started to get really scared,” she added.

Things then went downhill when her three-year-old son began to complain of chest pains and breathing difficulty.

“That's the point where you are just kind of like, 'Ok, are we going to the hospital? Like, what are we doing right now?' Because this is the scariest thing I've ever been through in my life.”

Fortunately, she and Jamesson have re-tested two weeks later after contracting the virus and have since been negative.

Upon her recovery, she was reported to have donated $1 million to coronavirus relief efforts to help those who don't have access to what she has.
