'Games of Thrones' actor Miltos Yerolemou calls The Medical City health workers 'heroes'

Game of Thrones actor Miltos Yerolemou sent an appreciation message to the medical frontliners of The Medical City (TMC) Ortigas.

In his video message posted on hospital's Facebook page, the British actor, who is best known for his role as Syrio Forel in the HBO series Game of Thrones, called the hospital's medical personnel “heroes” amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Miltos also shared that his friend's father, who was recently admitted at the TMC, has succumbed to the coronavirus last week.

“His family told me of the care your team gave him and the brave work that you do for all your patients each and every day,” he said.

“You face fatigue, shortages in supplies, and a very real risk of infection. They want you to know that you, all of you, are their heroes,” Miltos added.

“They also ask me to tell you to keep safe, rest well, and to take care.”

The actor also expressed gratitude towards the hospital's health workers in Filipino.

“Huwag po kayong susuko. Bayani po kayong lahat. Maraming, maraming salamat po,” he said.

Miltos then ended his message by quoting his iconic line from the “Game of Thrones” series.

“And remember, there is only one thing we say to the God of death--not today.

“Stay strong, stay safe, and thank you for everything that you do.”


In the critically-acclaimed television series, Miltos played the character Syrio Forel, the “First Sword of Braavos” and swordfighting master of of Arya Stark, played by actress Maisie Williams.

The Medical City Ortigas is one of the health institutions at the frontline of battle against COVID-19.
