Heart Evangelista and Marian Rivera recently had a cute twinning moment featuring their vibrant bag charms.
As seen in an Instagram post by Marian, the global fashion and style icon noticed the Primetime Queen has the same Labubu doll as hers. Marian embellished her bag with a purple Labubu, adorned with butterfly wings when she attended the premiere night of GMA Films' Balota. The doll is from the Pop Mart Labubu and Pronounce Wings of Fantasy vinyl plush doll collection.
Heart commented, "Twins tayoooooo gandaaaaaaaa" to which Marian replied with a heart-eyed emoji.
Heart and Marian are just two of the many Filipino celebrities who got into the Labubu craze.
According to Heart, bag charms are a great pick-me-upper especially when she's not in the mood.
"Mahilig ako sa mga anik-anik, sa mga abubot. Kung puwede lang punuin 'yung bag, I can. But minsan mabigat na, so again comfort muna," she told in a chat with GMANetwork.com during the Kotex Luxe "Flex Your Mood" event recently.
Heart traveled to Thailand recently where she purchased several blind boxes with her team, and Marian fondly shares her Pop Mart collection, including her Labubu and Molly dolls, on her Instagram account.
Asked about her twinning Labubu moment with Marian, Heart said she's happy that Marian is enjoying her collectibles.
"I see that Marian's into it. She's so cute because she has two kids. I love that she's very much reaching in for her inner child which is so cute," Heart said.
Labubu is an elf character created by Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung. It originated from the 2015 story series called The Monsters.
In 2019, Lung began working with Pop Mart, a Chinese toy company, which furthered The Monsters' popularity. They became collectibles and bag charms.
Pop Mart opened its first pop-up store in Manila last October 31.
