Heath Jornales discovered a lot about himself and his co-stars in You're My Favorite Song during their workshops together.
You're My Favorite Song star Heath Jornales shared during the series' story conference last Tuesday, May 12, that he discovered a lot about himself and his co-stars while preparing for their upcoming series on GMA Afternoon Prime.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Heath shared one of his discoveries about his co-star Caprice Cayetano. According to him, while he already knew she was a talented actress, he appreciated her natural acting style even more after attending a recent acting workshop together for their starring roles in the series.
“One thing na I discovered about Caprice is alam ko na po ito pero napakagaling po niya mag-acting, pero noong nakasama ko po siya sa workshop is napakagaling po talaga niya mag-acting,” Heath shared.
“'Yun po 'yung isa sa mga na-discover ko po sa kanya ulit na sobrang galing po niya mag-acting, napaka-natural, at napakagaling po niya sa mga adlibs,” he added.
The young Kapuso heartthrob also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be part of a project where he is one of the lead stars, especially since he gets to work alongside his close friends.
“I'm feeling super thankful po kasi pinagdadasal ko rin po ito kay Lord na 'Lord sana magka-show po ako na ganito, na kasama ko po 'yung mga tropa ko po.' I feel so blessed and very grateful. Very thankful po ako na binigyan po ako ng ganitong opportunity,” he expressed.
Another thing Heath shared was one of the lessons he learned during their acting workshops for the series. According to the actor, he learned the importance of being natural when bringing his character to life.
He added that he is carefully studying his role to ensure his portrayal feels authentic and natural. He also promised that since being part of the series is a “dream come true” moment for him, he will give his full potential and absolute best to the project.
“Just to be natural po when playing the character. Ako po, I'm going to study the character; parang I move one with the character para po mas natural 'yung dating,” Heath shared.
He continued, “I feel like I'm gonna do my very best po talaga kasi it's really a dream come true. I think I'm gonna be more natural po kasi mga tropa ko lang po, mga teens lang po kami.”
Heath also touched on how he maintains strong connections with his co-stars, noting that their off-screen friendship plays a vital role in their professional rapport.
“Name-maintain ko po 'yung relationship namin na tropa po sa mga hangouts po namin. Lumalabas po kami nina Clifford at Marco, minsan kapag nagkikita po kami sa work. We just talk, we just hangout, and chill lang po. Kahit 'di po kami gaanong nagkikita sa labas, name-maintain po namin 'yung [chemistry] by just seeing each other at work,” Heath said.
