Hidilyn Diaz, the lone Pinoy athlete who brought home an Olympic gold medal from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, has received the keys to her brand new 2-story home in Tagaytay City, a "reward" from the Philippine Olympic Committee.

This came after Hidilyn Diaz received her brand new condo unit in Eastwood city, just one of the many rewards that were promised to her by several public and private entities for winning the first ever Olympic gold medal for the Philippines.

In the same event, which was preceded by a thanksgiving mass at Our Lady of St. Lourdes Parish, Olympic silver medalists Nesthy Petecio and Carlo Paalam and bronze medalist Eumir Marcial were also there to take part in the groundbreaking ceremony of the lots of their future homes.

For bringing glory to the country, each of the Pinoy medalist boxers would get a single-detached, two-bedroom (with attic) home worth P5 million in Barangay San Jose, Tagaytay City.

Aside from seeing the sites of their future homes, the athletes also received their brand new vehicles.

Tagaytay Mayor Agnes Tolentino, congressman and Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, and Sen. Francis Tolentino were there to spearhead the event and personally express their congratulations to the Pinoy athletes.
