Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid exercised his vocal chords with Olivia Rodrigo's hit song, "Drivers License."

In a short video he shared on his Instagram account, Ruru is seen relaxed and singing with a dog on his lap.

"'Drivers license' (short/raw cover) I just heard this song last night pero sobrang na lss agad ako. So I decided to make a cover. Practice lang" he wrote.

Ruru's cover got the thumbs up from a few of his celebrity friends.

"Siyempre ico-cover mo 'yan. Hindi pwedeng hindeeeee @rurumadrid8" wrote Barbie Forteza.

"Dito ko! Idolo" EA Guzman commented.

Ruru previously shared a short clip of him singing a cover of Pink Sweats' "At My Worst" while playing the guitar.

"Drivers License" is the debut song of American actress and singer Olivia Rodrigo.

Since its release in January 8, 2021, the song has been topping the charts. It is the No. 1 song in Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks now.

The song was reportedly inspired by Rodrigo's personal heartbreak experience.

Meanwhile, Ruru recently had a guest role in The Lost Recipe, the highest-rating show on GMA News TV.

The short stint saw Ruru pair up with Shaira Diaz, one of his leading ladies in the upcoming action adventure series Lolong.

As a pre-Valentine's treat, the pair appeared on the show as a young couple looking for a caterer for their wedding reception.

"I can say that she's very supportive. She's very professional even sa throw lines pa lang mafi-feel mo na nandun na siya sa eksena," Ruru says of Shaira in an interview with 24 Oras.

Likewise, Shaira also had praises for her co-star.

"Gentleman siya kasi 'pag 'yung naka-gown, may mga scene kasi na naka-wedding gown, so inaalalayan niya naman ako. Gusto ko rin 'yung the fact na 'pag nasa eksena kami, ang galing niyang um-adlib. 'Yung mga adlib kasi talaga minsan, 'yun talaga 'yung magdadala sa eksena," she said.
