TWICE's member, Yoo Jeongyeon is rumored to be back in promoting and performing with her co-members, after being spotted in a promotional video.

K-pop girl group TWICE's member, Yoo Jeongyeon is rumored to be back in promoting and performing with her co-members, after being spotted in a promotional video featuring TWICE.

In October 2020, Jeongyeon was missing from group activities. Back in June 2020, Jeongyeon shared that she had been suffering from a neck injury that affected her ability to practice for the group activities. During a V Live broadcast, Jeongyeon explained that she's been wearing pain relief patches to soothe her neck injury. It was later revealed that Jeongyeon was suffering from a herniated disc.

Mayo Clinic defines a herniated disc as a condition of the bones that comprise the spine. Symptoms can include arm or leg pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness.

TWICE's entertainment agency, JYP Entertainment had announced that Jeongyeon will be on an indefinite break. But rumors of her return are trending on Twitter as a new promotional video featuring Twice began circulating online. JYP Entertainment had announced the news of her hiatus a few days ahead of the group's comeback with their sophomore full-length album, 'Eyes Wide Open'

Korean media reported JYP Entertainment issued a statement about Jeongyeon's health status, saying she was “experiencing psychological anxiousness in moving forward with her schedule.”

The agency said, “Therefore, after deep discussions with Jeongyeon herself and other TWICE members, we have decided that it is needed for Jeongyeon to have sufficient rest and absolute stability, accompanied by professional medical measures.”

JYP Entertainment said, “We value our artists' mental and physical health more than anything, we inform you that Jeongyeon will be unable to attend TWICE's activities regarding the 2nd Full Album for the time being. We ask for your love and support for Jeongyeon's full recovery.”

On January 7, Video game publisher Nexon announced that TWICE will be the first character in 2021 for the online game “Sudden Attack.” All the members of TWICE, namely Jeongyeon, Sana, Momo, Tzuyu, Mina, Nayeon, Jihyeon, Dahyun, and Chaeyoung, appeared in a promotional video and because of this, the term “JEONGYEON” trended on Twitter.
