JYP Entertainment said that TWICE member Jeongyeon is experiencing “psychological anxiousness.”

TWICE member Jeongyeon will be taking a break from her and the group's future activities after announcing that she's experiencing psychological anxiousness.

On October 17, JYP Entertainment said that all TWICE members have agreed to let Jeongyeon take a break and get professional medical help to rest and recover.

As a result, the K-pop idol will not participate in any of the promotional activities for TWICE's upcoming comeback “Eyes Wide Open.”

The statement said, “Currently, Jeongyeon is experiencing psychological anxiousness in moving forward with her schedule.

“Therefore, after deep discussions with Jeongyeon herself and other TWICE members, we have decided that it is needed for Jeongyeon to have sufficient rest and absolute stability, accompanied by professional medical measures.

“Because we value our artists' mental and physical health more than anything, we inform you that Jeongyeon will be unable to attend TWICE's activities regarding their second full album for the time being.”

On June 8, 2020, Jeongyeon shares that she's been dealing with a neck injury that affected her ability to practice for the group's comeback for “MORE & MORE.”

During a V Live broadcast, the singer explained that she's been wearing pain relief patches to deal with her neck injury, later revealed to be a herniated disc.

“While we were filming the 'MORE & MORE' music video, I felt numbness all the way to my ear,” she confessed.

“I really hated the thought of showing ONCE an imperfect performance. So, after I discussed it with the company, we asked the networks for their understanding and talked to them about not filming fan cams for me.”

She added, “I'm doing a lot better now. I went to the hospital this morning and got a shot. So you don't need to worry about me, for real. I'm working hard to get better.”
