Isabelle Daza

In a short video, Isabelle Daza recounts the time when her son had a seizure due to a very high fever.

Host and model Isabelle Daza shared one of the scariest experiences she had as a mom in a recent animated video.

Working again with multimedia specialist Tristan Yapchiongco and illustrator Jewies Art Space, she created another animated children's story to recount the time when her son Balthazar or Baltie had a seizure due to a very high fever.

She created the story last year, before the COVID-19 pandemic, hoping to have a sponsor buy it.

Isabelle finally shared the story for other parents to learn from her experience.

"(Before COVID-19 happened) I created this video to tell the story of what happened to Balthazar in one of the scariest experiences we have had when he had a really high fever. So I didn't post it last year cause I wanted a sponsor to buy it!! LOL Anyways here it is. Reminder: always consult your doctor," she wrote on Instagram.

In the video, Isabelle recounted how Baltie's fever reached up to 39.6 degrees Celsius then started convulsing.

"Babies less than five years old are prone into going to a seizure because the brain is not mature enough to handle the fever. This is called a benign febrile convulsion. It's not harmful and doesn't indicate any serious health problem," she explained.

She then shared the things parents must do if their baby experiences a benign febrile convulsion.

"This experience is one of the scariest I had because I had no control over my son's reactions and his body. One thing I learned is to stay calm and have the presence of mind to be able to lower the fever," she said.
