IU's Hold My Hand

Korean singer IU continuously proves her title as the “Queen of Korean Music Charts.”

IU's first composed and written song "Hold My Hand" ranked at the top of the real-time ranking charts on major music sites in South Korea as of February 18.

"Hold My Hand" was released in 2011 and has already received much love at the time. It was an original soundtrack for 'The Greatest Love', a drama that revolves around a woman who was once Korea's sweetheart, the most popular member of an all-girl singing band that lost her status and pride after a series of scandals.

It stars Cha Seung-won, Gong Hyo-jin, Yoon Kye-sang and Yoo In-na.

The song belatedly received attention once again when IU uploaded a live clip performance of the song from her 2019 'Love, poem' tour concert, and caused it to rise on the music charts ten years after its release.

IU is currently working on her upcoming fifth album 'BYLAC' which also includes her chart-topping pre-release track "Celebrity".
